Spring Afternoon and Sorry Coffee Co.
Wednesday afternoon I went to the ROM to use my free membership again. I checked out both Canadian exhibits, which I hadn't seen before. It's really nice to be able to hang out in the museum while there aren't tons of people and see everything at my own pace.
This is Momency Falls outside of Quebec City, one of my favourite places. It's so gorgeous there!
Nic and I met up at Sorry Coffee Co. in Yorkville. No, they don't have an Instagram, but you can see tons of everyone else's photos. The place was much smaller than I had expected, but luckily it was almost warm enough so Nic and I drank our coffees outside.
Of course I loved all the copper, geometric shapes, and the marble.
Beautiful latte art! Nic's cappuccino was good, and I liked my latte.
Every so often they change up the design of their cups, which they hand-stamp.
Loving the spring weather!

Spring Afternoon & Settlement Co in Waterloo
| Wychwood Barns |
| Back alleys |
Of course, the place was packed, so we waited a while to get a table so we could order since we were expecting friends. It seems like lots of students love to do their homework there, so keep that in mind.
As always, Nic ordered a cappuccino, and I got a chai tea latte. His capp was really great, and my chai was pretty good, maybe top 10 I've had recently?
Don't you love the blue dishes? They're so cute!
Settlement lets you rent the "back room" for events, so that's cool. Look at the awesome faux moss writing, and the cool planters on the ceiling!
Who doesn't love french presses? You can get an individual for $3, or one to share for $6. I was drinking it out of my latte mug, so I'd like to try their blends again to know what it was really like.
I posted this photo on Instagram a few days ago, and everyone loved it. The plant wall is so awesome! It was interesting how they have the second row of benches behind the first, which is higher. A few of us were crouched there before other tables emptied out, but I think it's probably for when it becomes more of a bar in the evening.
I snapped a quick picture of the front end,but I didn't want to weird out everyone. It's always a fine line between "I'm obviously taking a picture of the architecture and decor" and "I'm going to post your face all over social media."

Black Cat Espresso Bar - Saturday Afternoon Coffee Date
Today after my shift at the gym Nic and I took the subway and then the streetcar to Black Cat Espresso Bar. I've seen their name pop up several times when searching for coffeeshops in Toronto, so I decided today was the day. They're at Dufferin and College and have quite a few tables.
Check out this BlogTO post where I discovered the coffeeshop!
I compare my coffeeshops by their chai lattes. The froth and milk in this was perfect, but I usually like my chais to be a little spicier. Nic really liked his cappuccino, and we were interested to see that it came in that glass instead of a mug! Our barista was super nice, and there's obviously a lot of connection with regulars in the neighbourhood.
I enjoyed working on my crossword as well as reading my books. It was a beautiful afternoon!
My favourite shot Nic took of me was the cheekiest-it was actually more of a selfie for him in the mirror!
The Black Cat is adorable, and I'd love to go back at night when it becomes a bar!
